Andrée Julikà Tavares' photographic work is an incessant search for places, landscapes, and scenarios devoid of people, where humanity is only suggested through abstraction. In each shot, Tavares seeks the unknown and the tension of absence. She works exclusively with analogue films and cameras, and her aesthetic research leads each image to a suspension between dreamlike and disturbing reality.

In many cases, such as the series La Grande Motte or Greetings, her photographic work forms the basis of documentary films made in collaboration with Gianluca Monnier. These projects delve into the silent narratives of abandoned spaces, capturing the essence of forgotten environments and transforming them into compelling visual stories.
